Free consultations are generally held every day other than Thursdays and Sundays by Zoom and phone.
The first step in the process is completing a brief, free "Initial Intake" which involves answering some very easy questions. It can take as little as five minutes online. You may complete the "Initial Intake" now, but know that the first date that the free consultation can be held will be ten days out.
The "Initial Intake" process is done to determine if you qualify for bankruptcy, which type of bankruptcy you qualify for (e.g. Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13,) which type might be the best for you, and whether or not I can help you. Once we know that I can help we will schedule your free consultation.
If you think you are above the income cut-off for Chapter 7, or if you are facing foreclosure, please contact me before completing the "Initial Intake" as I may not be able to help you. The income cut-offs are listed on the "CH. 7 & 13" page of this website.
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING THE INITIAL INTAKE
All of my work with clients is done via telephone, text, email, Dropbox and Zoom. You must have reliable telephone and internet connections in order to work with me. Knowing how to use a computer and work with electronic documents is not *required,* but it is a real plus. If you are uncomfortable with technology you may want to work with an attorney who will meet with you in person and go over physical paperwork with you in person.
