BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TOWARDS SCHEDULING A FREE CONSULTATION, note that
I am not the right attorney for, and you should not complete the "Initial Intake," if any of the following applies to you::
- You are in a rush to have the consultation. The first date that the free consultation can be scheduled will be approximately ten to fifteen days out.
- You are in a rush to file your bankruptcy, i.e. within 30 days or so.
- You are above the income cut-off for Chapter 7. Check the "Ch. 7 & 13" page of this website to find out.
- You filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy less than eight years ago.
- You are facing foreclosure and you want to keep your home.
- You own a business and the business (not you) needs to file a bankruptcy.
- You own a business which has employees, and you want to keep the business going.
- You are uncomfortable with technology. You do not know how to use a computer or work with electronic documents. (If you have a friend or family member who can help you that will be fine.) Note that all of my work with clients is done via telephone, text, email, Dropbox and Zoom. (My Dropbox and my Zoom, you will not need to pay for your own accounts.) If you are uncomfortable with technology you should select an attorney who will meet with you in person and give you/review paperwork with you in person.
If none of these apply to you, please keep reading.
Free consultations are generally held every day other than Thursdays and Sundays by Zoom and phone.
The first step in the process is completing a brief, free "Initial Intake" which involves answering some very easy questions. It can take as little as five minutes online. The "Initial Intake" process is done to determine if you qualify for bankruptcy, which type of bankruptcy you qualify for (e.g. Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13,) which type might be best for you, and whether or not I can help you. Once we know that I can help we will schedule your free consultation.
